Delve into urban dance and movement, emotions, decode and recode, love, laugh, cry, express and create a new language from the artistic need of your being.
Grounded" is an urban dance formation with a scenic objective. Our intention is to bring urban and street dance to a theatrical and artistic context, such as dance competitions, showcases, theaters and similar spaces and also provide you with tools to discover the artist in you and to express and create freely.
We want to provide you with the base and codes of urban dances with an innovative perspective. For this we both believe in a transdisciplinary approach. Together we will build a new path both at the level of movement and concept. The dancer will be receiving, experimenting and progressively developing the necessary tools to achieve his goals.
- You will learn to create, interpret and improvise urban dance giving it a wide and poetic perspective.
- We will generate a safe space where you can investigate movement, body and emotions from different techniques.
- We will go deeper into urban dance and cultural codes of nonverbal communication, emphasizing the gesture and use of space.
- We will go through other dance techniques and body expression such as butoh to expand and change the perspective and create new codes of movement and communication.
- We will work improvisation from different perspectives: freestyle, social, physical theater, etc.
- There will also be a creative space where small groups will be formed for the creation of short pieces.
- We will finish the course with a sample of the work done in a final exhibition.
